As of 2023 I've decided not to enter competitions anymore. While it's nice to have a pile of certificates, medals, and plaques in a drawer, I don't think creativity should be competitive. Everyone's art is an expression of who they are. Comparing our work to and craving the approval of others is unhealthy. I'd much rather people view and enjoy my work for what it is. And if they don't like it, that's fine too.
